Al Jefferson Sprains MCL

A guy I've touted pretty highly this offseason, Minnesota's Al Jefferson, sprained his MCL and won't be a part of the action for 2-3 weeks. There's no reason to panic at this point, but keep an eye on any developments on this issue. The team expects him to make a full, speedy recovery, and to be ready for the season. Chances are he'll play very little in the NBA preseason.

In other news, adding on to Brian's Gilbert Arenas entry yesterday morning, it seems Wizards' team president Ernie Grunfeld doesn't believe Arenas will be back in December. In fact, he called the estimation "generous". Uh oh. More on this later...

Thanks for checking out The Pulse!
