Rise of Ronnie; Whoops

So we thought that 12-point, 7-assist, 7-steal line on November 9 was a D'Antoni-fueled fluke, and that we'd never see anything like that from Ronnie Brewer again. Turns out this guy has some talent, and he's ready to break out. Last night, Brewer brushed off the return of "savior" Deron Williams and busted out a 16-6-9-4 stl. line to the chagrin of C.J. Miles (15 minutes). Utah is now a fantasy basketball hotbed.

A second Utah thought: One would think that AK47 might get a little less time now that Deron Williams is starting, but remember that Mehmet Okur remains out of the lineup, and that means Kirilenko, Millsap and even Kosta Koufos are getting decent burn. Tack on Carlos Boozer's 19-point, 16-rebound effort and you've got a club Brigham Young himself would be proud of.

Last, we'd like to take the opportunity to apologize for NOT updating the early report that Corey Maggette would play last night. The report was rescinded at 6:30 p.m. EST and hopefully you were able to catch an update before the Minnesota/Golden State game last evening. Sorry for the inconvenience.

On that note, be sure to catch our second EVER broadcast of Pick and Roll tonight on Blogtalkradio.com OR simply listen to the archive here at The Pulse!
