Raja Bell - Charlotte

Season Stats (January-per game):

16.8 pts, 3.95 reb, 2.95 ast, .68 stl, 0.5 blk. Shooting: 50.7% FG, 88% FT, 1.7 - 3pts made.

Raja Bell started the season well enough, then seemed to be reverting to the inconsistent player he was last season. Then, of course, he was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats and has been flying under the radar ever since. He missed five games at the beginning of January, but since then he has averaged 16.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.7 three pointers per game over the past three weeks. The biggest difference is that he is playing no less than 34 minutes over the past 10 games and is averaging over 12 shot attempts per game. He’s shooting 51 percent from the field, 36 percent from downtown, and 88 percent from the free-throw line in that span. The injury to Gerald Wallace certainly won’t hurt Bell’s production, but he was playing well and getting plenty of shot attempts even with Wallace in the lineup. That’s encouraging since his value shouldn’t be affected much – if at all – when Wallace does return. If you’re in a 10 or 12-team league, he is well worth adding at this point.
