Week 16 Fantasy Guide

Each week, the writers of FantasyBasketball.com offer their thoughts, opinions and statistical research to get your lineup in tip-top shape. Here's an excerpt from our "Starts vs. Sits" section of the Guide...

Riding the Pine

Randy Foye, Minnesota Timberwolves – It’s been a tough stretch for Mr. Foye – he’s shooting 34% from the field and 30% from beyond the arc over the past eight games, which really isn’t helping the Wolves one bit. Yeah, he’s scoring 17.8 points, 5.9 assists and 1.75 threes per game over that stretch, but in a one-game week, your percentages are liable to take a nasty hit. Minnesota’s increased level of competition has found Foye drawing tougher on-ball defenders. Expect him to adjust and start making a higher rate of his shots, but bench him next week.

Get 'em in your lineup

Antonio McDyess, Detroit Pistons – Have the Pistons finally found a center? Antonio McDyess sure looks like a man on a mission lately, putting up 49 rebounds in the past four games (12.25). If Dice keeps cleaning the glass like this, and getting a ton of minutes (32.75, past 4), he’s worth a start/pick-up in 12-team formats. It’d be nice to get some more points, but let’s not get too picky.
